Practical Tips for CCSP and CCVP Exam Takers

Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) and Cisco Certified Voice Professional Certification (CCVP) exams are professional-level exams and therefore require at least a basic CNNA certification. CCSP and CCVP boot camps offer the student the skills and knowledge needed to pass the exam, however, a strong background is also needed to ensure a passing rate. Aside from the theoretical know-how given by these boot camps, other more practical tips are also suggested.
First, make sure that on exam day, you arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam, giving you time to familiarize yourself with the system. Before the exam, verify the rules and don’t be afraid to ask questions to clarify any doubts in your mind. Make sure that you have tested the computer or software before the exam starts.
Read the questions carefully and remember that once you have answered it, you cannot go back. Try to remember as much as you can from your CCSP and CCVP bootcamp especially the simulation training. The simulation takes more time to answer as you will need to analyze certain scenarios first. Maximize the time given to you and use the elimination process if you’re not sure of your answer. A CCNA bootcamp will benefit you too.
Also, keep in mind that during the exam, you cannot bring in mobile phones, calculators or review materials, even food and drinks inside, so be warned to avoid embarrassment or even disqualification.
