It really only makes sense that you should learn about computers by using computers. They just go hand in hand. If you are able to put in a Microsoft Office training CD, then you will be fully able to start with your training. Just read the instructions and go down the line.
The reason that this works well is that you are gaining a general understanding of your own computer by doing the training on it. You aren’t learning abstract computer concepts. You are gaining a cause and effect understanding that will serve you well from now on. It is also going to be a lot easier to just spend a little time on your home machine to get all the work done. Saving a trip to the local training center is always a good thing.
The best part is that you will basically get the same thing as if you’d gone to the classes. You will still see the lectures in the form of Microsoft Office training videos. These will be available through your training program usually, and they will contain all the basics that you need to know. You can even replay them as needed or run them in the background to gain a bit more out of the same lecture. Just try that with a real world class.
