Practical Tips for CCSP and CCVP Exam Takers

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) and Cisco Certified Voice Professional Certification (CCVP) exams are professional-level exams and therefore require at least a basic CNNA certification. CCSP and CCVP boot camps offer the student the skills and knowledge needed to pass the exam, however, a strong background is also needed to ensure a passing rate. Aside from the theoretical know-how given by these boot camps, other more practical tips are also suggested.
First, make sure that on exam day, you arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam, giving you time to familiarize yourself with the system. Before the exam, verify the rules and don’t be afraid to ask questions to clarify any doubts in your mind. Make sure that you have tested the computer or software before the exam starts.
Read the questions carefully and remember that once you have answered it, you cannot go back. Try to remember as much as you can from your CCSP and CCVP bootcamp especially the simulation training. The simulation takes more time to answer as you will need to analyze certain scenarios first. Maximize the time given to you and use the elimination process if you’re not sure of your answer. A CCNA bootcamp will benefit you too.
Also, keep in mind that during the exam, you cannot bring in mobile phones, calculators or review materials, even food and drinks inside, so be warned to avoid embarrassment or even disqualification.

Learn with Toys

Monday, May 12th, 2008
There are times when people buy gifts for kids and don’t really put much effort in looking for the right ones. This is not surprising, because there are way too many toy stores where you can just go in and grab anything you might fancy. However, getting a child something he can really enjoy and learn from can actually be rewarding. Not only will you satisfy the desires of the kid, but you’ll also gear the child towards a great learning experience.

One example of a great gift idea for kids is the Estes rocket. With this, the child gets to develop conceptual thinking skills and gain experience in designing experimental investigations, everytime he builds the rocket. Also, the kids will develop a keen eye for detail at an early age.

Another fun way to delight kids with a gift is by giving Bachmann train sets. These train sets come with different designs, and can actually help develop a child’s fine motor skills. You can get starter sets that include a locomotive and wagons. Also, there are fantasy train sets, with animations that can further entertain the child.

And don’t forget about RC trucks, which are every kid’s favorite toy. Whenever a child manipulates the remote control, he also develops fine reflexes. Now, that’s another reason not to just buy anything from a toy shop.

Elearning Software

Monday, February 11th, 2008

My proposal was approved!  The introduction of the new product line now needed to be communicated to the factories in the U.S., China, and France.  The new distribution routes had to be recalculated and approved by the transportation department.  The salespeople needed the proper product details and training.  The boss wanted a complete report on his desk ASAP.
I went straight on to the learning management system, and got to work.  It was the only reason I was able to quickly send all of the necessary information to the factories and to transportation.   Using the latest elearning software I was able to use my existing power point presentation from my proposal to create an online training module.  I included a flash video with step-by-step instructions, and an evaluation at the end.  Uploading it to the LMS was a breeze, and all parties involved were able to access it immediately.
I saved a lot of time and money using online training, and it was consistent across the board.  And it wound up being quite successful.  And now, I am relaxed, at home, in my fluffy slippers, tracking the results of the training and the roll out of my new product line.  I am just gathering information to add in to the boss’s report.  The one report I am actually looking forward to writing.

Guide for Passing A+ Certification Exams

Monday, April 30th, 2007

CompTIA certifications are awarded after taking two different exams, complementary to each other - the A+ DOS/Windows exam that requires A+ certification training and the A+ Core Exam. In order to prepare your A+ Certification Exams, you need to master the basics in computer services.Skills which are tested include the student’s ability, performing a number of different tasks, including basic networking, installation, configuration, diagnose and preventive maintenance. However, CompTIA certifications require knowledge in other areas, which are covered by A+ certification training, such as network security and safety.

A+ certification is also used by companies for testing purposes, in order to find out knowledge, communication and professionalism of their employees. A+ certification training ensures employers that potential candidates to a job position are knowledgeable, having the right skills required to support the companies’ need.

If you are willing to apply for am A+ Certification, get ready for the exams by following these simple steps:

CompTIA A+ Certifications are prepared with the exam objectives in mind. CompTIA will provide you with the objectives for the available A+ certification exams.

After getting your objective, find the materials for the A+ certification training, based on the CompTIA Approved Quality Curriculum (CAQC), which are one of the most easy to learn materials available to IT professionals and students looking for A+ certification.

Other materials that you can obtain are available at Press, including a guide (courseware) created expressly for people enrolled in CompTIA certifications. Once you get this material, you are ready for the next step: find A+ training providers.

A+ certification providers receive a seal of recognition for quality awarded by CompTIA Learning Alliance (CLA), after receiving special training in order to offer CompTIA certification exams.

Chosen the provider, get sample test questions to help you practice. Overview question and answers is a good option to prepare for your exams, and this samples are available at CompTIA website.

Studying hard, taking tips and testing your skills are useful aids to earn your A+ certification. Many has used Braindumps to get familiar with the tests. When you are ready for the exams, look for financial aid if necessary before purchasing your CompTIA A+ Exam Voucher.

Before Entering the Exam Room: Comptia A+ Certification Practice Tests

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

The Computing Technology Industry Association is the sponsor of the CompTia A+ Certification program. This is considered one of the benchmark certifications in the field of Information Technology (IT). It covers the basic knowledge and skills needed for a successful IT and is recognized by employers the world over as a basic educational standard for this career field. It is only natural that the successful completion of this examination is of utmost importance to an aspiring IT. There are several things that a candidate can do to increase their chances in the examination.

There are study materials available from organizations that are members of the CAQC, the CompTia Approved Quality Curriculum. The CLA, CompTia Learning Alliance, also has training centers where students can have instructor guided training to prepare them for the examinations. There is still one last and important thing that can be done once training is complete, and the candidate feels ready to attempt the examination. This is to take one of the A+ certification practice exams.

Although the Computing Technology Industry Association’s website gives some sample questions, there are sites that offer complete a+ certification practice tests. These sites offer tests that challenge the student to such a degree that they feel that when they successfully past the a+ practice exam, the real exam should be no problem at all. The a+ certification actually consists of two different exams. The first is the 220-601 essentials examination, and the second is a choice between three different exams. The choice of the optional exam depends on the applicant’s personal area of concentration or interest. IT practice exam will prepare you for the essentials parts of the test.

The a+ practice test is not the only way to prepare for the certification exams. The practice tests will not help a student who has not properly prepared themselves. The basic knowledge has to be there. There is no easy way to the certification. However, there is always a gap between true understanding and knowledge, and the ability to pass an examination. An understanding of the format and the focus of an examination is necessary to insure success. This understanding can best be obtained by the successful completion of a good practice examination. When this has been done prior to entering the examination room, the student will be much more confident.

How to Choose the Right IT Certification Boot Camps

Friday, February 9th, 2007

The field of IT training has become one of the biggest growth areas in the entire employment and training arena. The demand for trained technicians has outstripped the supply for years now, and each passing day and new technological development has made this more acute. One of the new methods that have emerged in recent years is the IT Certification Boot Camp.

The entire concept of IT certification has emerged as an important part of the overall training environment. College degree programs were becoming more of an introduction to the complex field, and there was a demand for skilled technicians beyond what the colleges could provide. On the other hand, employers were left with no sure method of evaluating the skill level of prospective employees. The Certification revolution addressed this problem. The Certifications gave a measuring stick for the learning level of the IT technician.

Although there was now a way to gauge employee skills in a formal manner, the need to get certified techs out of the classroom and into the workplace was still urgent. Certification boot camps were the result of this need. They take their names from the boot camps of the military. The military boot camp was a place where intensive training was given in a short period of time. Many of the Certification programs that were developed were online and suffered from two drawbacks. The first was that they were student paced, and as such would often take years to complete. The second was the lack of hands on training. Often the programs, software, and hardware needed for training was unavailable to the online student.

The boot camp solved these problems by creating a learning center that put a priority on speed and hands on training. How do you determine which boot camp training is right for you? First, you need to identify your certification needs. You must have a long term job path mapped out that will identify exactly where you need to go, and how long you intend to take to get there. You need to identify which Certification program is needed first. You might need a MCSE boot camp or a CCNA boot camp first, even if you intend to get both certifications eventually. Select your boot camp as you would any other computer based training. You need to compare costs, scheduling, and curriculum in the same manner as you would use in selecting a college program. Such things as checking references or trying to speak with others who have attended the boot camp are the types of things that can help make sure your selection is the right one for you.
